It is located in the Rural Municipality of Morris. It had a Population of 572 inhabitants in 2011.〔(city-data.com Rosenort, Manitoba, Canada )〕 The location is named after a Mennonite village in Imperial Russia. The name means "Village of Roses" or "Place of Roses" in German. A post office was located on 32-5-1E and was opened in 1899. Rosenort does have a school. The village was settled in the 1874 by 31 Plautdietsch speaking families of Mennonites of German descent, who came from Chortitza Colony in the Russian Empire.
